For our location in Rangendingen, we are looking for our department Supply Chain Management for a

Team Leader Customs and Foreign Trade (m/f/d)


Your Responsibilities


  • Disciplinary and technical leadership of the Customs and Foreign Trade team
  • Monitoring, analysing and assessing customs and foreign trade regulations, laws, agreements and global trade policy developments
  • Developing, implementing and ensuring compliance with company-specific export control and re-export control regulations
  • Serving as a key point of contact for authorities, specialist departments and subsidiaries in customs and foreign trade matters
  • Conducting export compliance reviews, processing and approving export transactions from order initiation to fulfilment
  • Applying for and reviewing permits and licences
  • Overseeing and managing customs formalities for imports and exports, including tariff classification in accordance with current customs regulations 
  • Training employees and supporting foreign trade and customs reviews and audits



Your Skills


  • Degree with a focus on foreign trade/customs or commercial training in wholesale and foreign trade with specialised further training in customs and foreign trade
  • Several years of professional experience in handling import and export transactions
  • Ideally, leadership experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of foreign trade law, export control regulations, customs law, customs tariff law and preferential law
  • Experience with IT systems with a focus on shipping, compliance, export filing and cost management 
  • Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Highly structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working and thinking
